Housed in the former Camden Town Hall Annex in London’s King’s Cross neighbourhood, the 1974 Brutalist building has been restored and is The Standard’s first hotel outside America. The property is just across the street from St Pancras International and Underground stations. All room types are uniquely decorated, featuring en-suite facilities and flat-screen TVs. The building features an eclectic in-house library and features a Sound Studio hosting weekly live music events and talks. The Double Standard restaurant serves lunch, casual drinking and dining, while the garden restaurant, Isla, serves a seasonal, coastal inspired menu. Both restaurants are run by Executive Chef Adam Rawson. The exterior red lift takes guests directly to the 10th-floor where Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias’ forthcoming restaurant will showcase his live fire cooking and the building’s 360-degree views of London.
