Middletons is a collection of six historical, Grade-II listed building situated around a secluded courtyard garden in the heart of York city centre and within the city walls. less than 5 minute walk from York Rail Station, The York Minster and all the key city attractions, including the dungeons; Shambles shopping area and Jorvik Viking Centre. It offers complimentary access to a fitness centre with a gym. The hotel is 7 minutes' drive from York Racecourse.

A fresh breakfast is available every morning and the modern Sawmill restaurant offers a varied menu throughout the day. Guests can also enjoy a drink on one of two sunny terraces or in the hotel gardens.
